Overview
A deep wastewater and storm tunnel carrying sewage and runoff from the Valley of Mexico to a treatment plant in Hidalgo. Built in difficult soft ground with tunnel boring machines, it was completed in 2019 to relieve the overloaded Gran Canal and reduce flooding in Mexico City.
