Overview
The new Guanjiao tunnel on the Xining to Golmud line doubles the capacity of the Qinghai Tibet railway corridor at over 3,300 m elevation. One of the longest high altitude rail tunnels ever built, driven through crushed rock and permafrost terrain on the Tibetan plateau.
