Overview
Under construction between Innsbruck and Franzensfeste as the heart of the Scandinavia to Mediterranean freight corridor. Combined with the renovated Innsbruck bypass its full length would reach 64 km, making it the longest railway tunnel in the world. Repeated cost overruns have pushed opening toward the 2030s.
